St. James Cathedral School 28th Annual Golf Tournament Historic Dubsdread Golf Course, October 14, 2016 Shot-gun start at 8:30 am - 4-Player Scramble Each year, the St. James Cathedral School's Annual Golf Tournament truly makes a difference in the lives of children. Established in 1989, this highly popular charitable event raises scholarship funds for families experiencing financial hardship or personal crisis. Far beyond direct monetary relief, this tuition assistance provides crucial consistency in the lives of children whose worlds have been upended by events such as job loss, illness, death in the family, or natural disasters. Generous donations this past year helped St. James Cathedral School provide educational opportunities to 40 students and financial assistance to 25 families. Since its inception, more than 740 children have benefited from tournament proceeds. AN ENHANCED MISSION PAW TRACS (Panthers At Work To Recruit Another Catholic Student) For over 20 years, the St. James Cathedral School Golf Tournament has helped its community by supporting to the Scholarship Fund which provides tuition assistance to families who encounter unexpected financial hardship. In keeping with our commitment to support Catholic education, this year's tournament continues to develop a supplemental mission supporting PAW TRACS - a fund which will provide the opportunity to attend St. James Cathedral School to a child of a family active in the St. James Parish who does not otherwise have the resources to do so. If you prefer, your donation can be earmarked for the general school fund. |
